It's been more than a year since I started seriously learning how to take photos with a DSLR camera. When I started learning, I took photos of the sunset since I was inspired by so many talented photographers in the island.
I took photos of sunset, everyday life, my dogs, etc. When I went to Canada to visit my family, I also basked in the glory of the autumn and wintertime. Different weather, same hobby.
Now that I am back in the city and I have chosen the domesticated life of not going out too much to give way to my financial priorities, I have not been taking as much photos as I did months ago.
Do I miss taking photographs?
Not that anyone ever asked, but yes. I do miss it but I know the passion is still very much alive. It's taking a backseat because I know I'll get back to it one day.
It's not that I have stopped, really. I still do take photographs of pretty much the same ones I used to love. However, I admittedly have slowed down.
That's the thing with passion - you never allow yourself to stop because all love, when ignored, it ceases to exist.
